Overview
The AGSM MBAX is a fully flexible MBA that can be done online, face-to-face or through a combination of these delivery modes. It offers the option to specialise in one of six streams; Technology, Law, Change, Finance, Sustainable and Inclusive Business and Social Impact, or complete a generalist program and choose a combination of courses from any of our specialisations.
The MBAX (Online) will equip you with the skills to succeed in contemporary business environments where the rapid rate of innovation and disruption impacts significantly on the organisation's success.
You'll be able to apply the concepts and tools to your professional environment immediately, while preparing for the future by accelerating your current career, following a new path or building a new enterprise.

Admission is based on:
- A prior degree from a recognised tertiary institution, and at least 2 years relevant professional and management experience, or
- At least 6 years experience without a prior degree
Applicants typically have 5-25 years experience in middle management and senior management positions, e.g. Senior Engineer, General Manager, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Finance Manager.
English language requirements
If English isn’t your first language, you may be required to provide evidence that your English language ability meets our requirements. Please refer to the UNSW English Requirements Policy for further information.
If you do need to provide evidence of your English proficiency, this will be indicated in your application. You can prove this by providing evidence that you meet one or more of the following criteria:
- English language tests and university English courses
- Prior study in the medium of English
- Other qualifications
Please note: You can apply for an English waiver based on directly relevant work experience, in the relevant industry or equivalent discipline practice, in an English-speaking country or workplace where the sole language of business was English.

Program structure
The AGSM MBAX (Online) is designed to be undertaken part-time in combination with full-time employment. Classes are in small groups of approximately 30 participants with a dedicated facilitator. The program is delivered fully online with no requirement to be on campus. The online asynchronous model gives you flexibility in how you balance your studies with other commitments. However, there are face-to-face options in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth.

Indicative fees are a guide only and have been calculated based on the typical enrolment patterns of students undertaking the program. The indicative fees listed here is an estimate for tuition only and excludes non-tuition fees and charges. The amount you pay will vary depending on the calendar year of enrolment, the courses you select and whether your study load is more or less than 1 Equivalent Full Time Student Load (48 units of credit (UOC) per year).
